We have thought about using them just to make the battlefield look even more realistic. But here we were unsure whether they should follow the hex layout or be staight regardless of hexes. Still no decision there :)Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16869666791468481479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288265921535519859.post-56364442925802839142017-05-14T21:03:12.027+02:002017-05-14T21:03:12.027+02:00Have you thought about adding the roads (Quatre Br...Have you thought about adding the roads (Quatre Bras)? So far this has been enough to do all the normal scenarios we have tried.

Note that I "cheated" with this Quatre Bras scenario and made the board 10 hexes wide instead of 9, and we just ignored the extra hex row. You can just see the tenth row in some of the pictures.

But yes you do need to be a little creative with hex placement, but I think it's worth the trouble to get the look with rivers (and lakes in Ancients) which are below and not above ground level.

For Waterloo which is an "epic" scenario, we used some of my friends hexes.Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16869666791468481479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288265921535519859.post-21332291400277829172016-11-30T16:52:33.802+01:002016-11-30T16:52:33.802+01:00Keith, I presume you needed to purchase a LOT of K...Keith, I presume you needed to purchase a LOT of Kallistra single hexes to use your method for the rivers since using upside down single hexes for those means you must need to make up the remaining hexes of each six-hex unit? What sort of numbers do you have?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10843182770414789664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288265921535519859.post-70712163612239479152016-09-12T21:47:59.425+02:002016-09-12T21:47:59.425+02:00IIRC the only official scenario to have reinforcem...IIRC the only official scenario to have reinforcements is 509 Lindenau (16 October 1813). The reinforcements are random determined by dice throw.

On commandsandcolors.net there are other scenarios with reinforcements.

There is no one method to handle reinforcements, it is scenario specific!Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16869666791468481479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288265921535519859.post-80592308377921515112016-09-11T22:23:12.395+02:002016-09-11T22:23:12.395+02:00A lovely, neat-looking battlefield, thanks for pos...A lovely, neat-looking battlefield, thanks for posting.JWHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01637785437909299947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288265921535519859.post-19411525721717590502016-09-11T19:26:40.210+02:002016-09-11T19:26:40.210+02:00All lovely stuff.
